What customers can currently do in Housecall Pro
Housecall Pro documents appointment history, current and past invoices, online invoice payment, estimates, appointment-change messaging and optional online booking inside the Customer Portal. Customers can also manage a card on file when the business uses the supported My Money workflow.
- View upcoming and past appointments
- View and pay current or past invoices
- View and approve open estimates
- Send a request to reschedule, cancel or create an appointment
- Launch Online Booking when the business has it enabled
- Add, update or remove a saved card when supported
How customers log in
Housecall Pro currently uses a magic-link flow. The business sends an email invite and the customer can enter without creating a separate username and password. Housecall Pro states that the magic link remains active for seven days and can be reissued when expired.
Where the portal can actually save office time
The strongest admin savings come from repetitive questions: “When is my appointment?”, “Can you resend my invoice?”, “How do I pay?”, “Can I approve this estimate?” and “Can I change the appointment?” Moving those tasks to self-service can reduce phone and text traffic as customer volume grows.
What Housecall Pro does not make automatic
A portal does not guarantee that every customer-service workflow disappears. Online Booking must be configured, messaging depends on the business setup, and the value of saved-card management depends on the payment products being used. Verify the exact plan and configuration you intend to buy rather than treating “Customer Portal” as one fixed feature bundle.
Housecall Pro vs Jobber customer portals
Both platforms give customers self-service access, but compare the exact workflow your office wants to remove. Jobber calls its experience Client Hub; Housecall Pro uses Customer Portal. Test estimate approval, appointment visibility, payment flow, new-work requests, authentication and how each portal connects back to the operating workflow.

How to use this answer
Feature availability matters, but fit depends on the operating workflow around the feature.
