Start with the fleet problem, not the platform
A two-truck service business and a 100-vehicle fleet do not need the same system. Small contractors often need live location, trip history, geofences, basic alerts and reliable incident evidence. Larger fleets may also require fuel-card integrations, maintenance scheduling, driver scoring, route planning, ELD/compliance tools and deeper reporting.
We separate dedicated GPS trackers, dash cameras and field-service software with built-in technician tracking. A dedicated tracker can be simpler and cheaper when vehicle visibility is the only requirement. A dash cam is better when the main problem is incident evidence or parked-vehicle protection. Native FSM tracking can be better when dispatchers need location data tied directly to jobs, customers and schedules.

Track your current drive time, missed or late appointments, idle time, dispatch workload and vehicle-incident exposure before adding hardware or software. That baseline makes it easier to tell whether a fleet tool is creating useful capacity or simply generating more data. For employee-operated vehicles, also confirm local notice, consent and privacy requirements before deployment.
