Trade Software Hub Publishes 2026 Field-Service Software Pricing Study and Green-Industry Data

Original research tracks pricing transparency, entry pricing and billing models across 32 field-service and contractor-operations platforms using vendor-controlled sources.

September 24, 2026 — Trade Software Hub has published its 2026 Field Service Software Pricing & Transparency Study, a source-linked dataset covering 32 platforms used across field service, trade contracting and adjacent mobile-work operations.

The study records a dollar amount only when the software vendor publishes a current price on its own pricing, product or help pages. Products that require a sales conversation for a current dollar amount are classified as quote-led rather than assigned an estimated price from third-party reviews.

Key findings from the 32-platform study

  • 22 of 32 platforms publish an entry dollar price in the September 11 study snapshot.
  • 10 are classified as quote-led because current dollar pricing is withheld.
  • The median lowest paid public entry price in the normalized study sample is $59/month.
  • Five platforms in the dataset explicitly publish a free plan.
  • Pricing models vary enough—flat rate, per-user, per-resource, usage-based and custom—that headline entry price should not be treated as total cost for a typical field-service company.

New green-industry subset for landscape, lawn, tree and snow operators

Following media interest in green-industry applications, Trade Software Hub also published a refreshed seven-platform subset limited to products in the main study that currently publish vendor-controlled pages for landscaping, lawn care, arborist/tree care or snow-removal workflows.

In that subset, six of seven platforms publish an entry dollar price, while one is quote-led. The median standard published entry price among the six public-priced products is $59.50/month. The published entry points range from $29/month to $208/month, with important differences in included users, routes, billing commitments and add-ons.

Open data and reusable graphics

The flagship study includes downloadable CSV and JSON files, methodology notes and reusable graphics. The green-industry snapshot adds a dedicated CSV/JSON subset and two SVG charts designed for publication. Data and graphics may be reused with visible attribution to Trade Software Hub and a link to the source research.

Methodology

Trade Software Hub uses vendor-controlled pages as the primary evidence layer and stores verification dates with the pricing records. It does not substitute marketplace estimates for hidden vendor pricing. Entry prices are normalized for comparison, but the study preserves package constraints and cautions that plans are not economically interchangeable.
